About the Department

Established in 2019, the Department of Corporate Secretaryship offers a three-year B.Com Corporate Secretaryship degree focusing on corporate laws, governance, and secretarial practice. The curriculum is designed to give in-depth knowledge of corporate affairs and prepare students to pursue Company Secretaryship as a profession.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12th) in State Board or equivalent with Commerce and Accountancy.
• Admission is based on merit and university regulations.

Purpose and Direction

• To familiarize students with regulatory frameworks, company law, and secretarial practices relevant to modern corporate functioning.
• Focus on enhancing institutional training, industry visits, and research exposure to bridge academic learning with real corporate requirements.

Course Takeaways

Students develop proficiency in company law, corporate governance, financial interpretation, and business communication, along with soft skills and computer applications in business. The programme also supports preparation for professional CS exams and other commerce-related careers.
