About the Department

The Department of Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence was established in 2022–2023 to train students in core computing along with specialized AI and Machine Learning skills. Through innovative pedagogy, hands-on labs, and industry collaboration, it prepares learners to meet global technological challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (12th) or equivalent with Mathematics and Computer Science as one of the subjects.
• Admission is based on merit and university regulations.

Purpose and Direction

• To build a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, Artificial Intelligence, and data science with real-world applications.
• Future direction emphasizes industry tie-ups, advanced AI workshops, and interdisciplinary projects in areas like NLP and intelligent systems.

Course Takeaways

Students acquire competence in programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and emerging technologies. They also develop soft skills, teamwork, and research orientation, enabling them to pursue higher studies or careers in advanced AI domains.

• The Department co-organizes workshops on NLP innovation and seminars on Explainable AI, enhancing students’ understanding of modern AI practices
• Students have participated in national-level youth exchange programmes and NSS events, showcasing leadership, cultural exposure, and social engagement
• Mr. S. Jeevanandham successfully completed the prestigious one-week National Level Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme – 2025 held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana
