Physical Education has become an essential component of modern education, aiming to enhance human performance through structured physical activities. It contributes significantly to the holistic development of students by nurturing physical fitness along with moral, ethical, social, mental, and emotional well-being. Through active participation in sports and games, students cultivate discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership qualities that shape them into healthy and responsible citizens.
The College boasts well-established playgrounds and excellent infrastructure to support a wide range of sports and games. To encourage inclusivity and team spirit, students are organized into Six Houses, each comprising an equal and diverse mix of students from different departments, years, and classes. This system promotes unity, healthy competition, and collaboration across the campus community.
The College regularly conducts inter-house competitions and training programs to motivate students to actively participate in sports. These initiatives prepare and inspire them to compete in inter-collegiate, inter-university, and open tournaments. The College takes pride in its outstanding teams in basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, kho kho (for both girls and boys), kabaddi, and martial arts, reflecting its strong sporting culture and commitment to excellence
